Pinan Shodan - The Pinan Shodan kata consists of the following moves:
Two blocks: From a feline position
Blocks of knives' hands: In stepping patterns
Punches and kicks delivered in reverse: From a combat position
When switching between postures, downblocks are followed by rising blocks.
Sho-dan Heian | Pinan Shodan
Nine different block and strike combinations make up the kata Pinan Shodan. It is frequently the first kata that newcomers learn and is the first kata in the Heian series.
